The four-day programme, held in the Southern Region, combined classroom learning with practical activities designed to strengthen community sports leadership and promote the positive values of sport.
Participants explored key topics including Olympic values, safeguarding in sport and the planning and delivery of community sports initiatives.
The course also featured a panel discussion titled “Community Sports: From Initiative to Sustainability”, focusing on how local sporting projects can achieve lasting success.
Group presentations gave participants an opportunity to showcase their ideas and demonstrate their readiness to put community sports initiatives into practice.
The course forms part of the JOC’s Community Sports Initiatives Empowerment and Support Programme, which aims to develop local leaders capable of creating and delivering sustainable sporting opportunities.
Through the programme, the Committee is working to expand participation in sport across the Kingdom, empowering individuals to make a positive impact in their communities and encouraging more people to embrace active lifestyles.
