The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) is the governing body for sports in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Founded in 1957, the JOC became the nurturing body for 34 Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations in the kingdom, laying down the foundation and trail to develop and rise up with the state of sports in Jordan.
Careful planning led by HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein enabled the JOC to develop the sports scene in Jordan with both consistency and vision positioning Jordan as a key, medal winning participant in all the major sports events both regionally and internationally .
Administrative efforts by the JOC were praised by the international sports community pinpointing Jordan as a healthy and worthy host for numerous Arab, Asian and international sporting events and championships such as the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in 2016.
Recognizing Jordan’s efforts in reshaping and bettering the sports scene both regionally and internationally, HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2010 among other honorary positions.
