Friendship, balance, aspiration, excellence and respect are values that underpin our philosophy at the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC). From the early stages of preparation, our athletes learn the importance of these values and how to incorporate them into both their professional and personal lives. We believe that these values are key factors in our preparation process to bring out the best in our future champions who will represent Jordan in the grandest sports events around the world.
Friendship: No matter how great the victory, the friendship of all is always greater. At the JOC we strongly believe that sports can be a bridge of friendship between nations, putting aside differences and bringing joy, trust and understanding to everyone.
Balance: Balance is the key to everything. What we do, think or say all requires awareness and through this awareness we can grow. That’s why at the JOC we believe in incorporating sports and physical activity into the Jordanian society, enabling all Jordanians to live a healthier and happier life physically, mentally and emotionally.
Aspiration: Wanting to be a success is aspiration and at the JOC we know that it never gets easier, but we only become better. That is why we always strive to be at our best and become better than before in hopes to inspire generations of Jordanians through achievements and triumph.
Excellence: Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to be better and at the JOC, in both sports and life; we always push ourselves to new limits and frontiers. We move forward with sheer determination and endless efforts only to become better versions of ourselves at the end.
Respect: To win with grace, you’ll have to play with respect. This is why at the JOC we arm ourselves and our athletes with the best of ethics treating everyone equally, without any discrimination while we accept and apply all the rules set forth to ensure a fair and equal opportunity for everyone.
