GOLF LAUNCHES SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
Feb 15, 2018
The sport of Golf is still in its relative infancy in Jordan, compared to the more established sports. But moves are afoot to boost its popularity in schools with a programme to target new players.
With young sensation Shergo Kurdi helping to raise the profile of the sport here, the sport’s Federation has launched its first phase to 50 kids from both genders.
The project is supervised by Head Coach, Amer Radi, Asad Al Rawashdeh and Anas Al Omari.
The national federation is receiving support from the international governing body who are encouraging countries to introduce the sport in a fun and informative way.
The next step will be to target more schools and pick up players who can represent the country in the future.
