The following is an official statement from the Jordan Olympic Committee regarding the Secretary General position:
The Jordan Olympic Committee would like to thank Lana Al Jaghbeer for her loyal service over the past eight years as Secretary General, during which time sport has undoubtedly taken positive steps forward. An announcement for the new Secretary General will be made in due course.
