TRIATHLETE ARRIVES FOR YOUTH OLYMPICS
Nov 02, 2026
Maria Al-Haddadin has arrived in Dakar, Senegal, ahead of her participation in the Triathlon at the 4th Youth Olympic Games on Friday.
Al-Haddadin stretched her legs with a run today (Monday) to shake off the jetlag and will intensify preparations over the coming days under the supervision of coach, Elias Nawara.
Al-Haddadin will dip into the pool tomorrow and also get some kilometres on the bike with Friday’s competition to be held at the Saly Water Park in the West Saly Beach area.
The race will consist of a 750m open-water swim, followed by a 20km cycling stage before concluding with a 5km run.
She qualified for the Games following her brilliant showing at the Asian Youth Games last year in Bahrain, and is confident of putting in a strong performance in her debut Olympic appearance.
