AL-DAOUD WINS TAEKWONDO BRONZE IN PARIS

Jaafar Al-Daoud has won bronze at the Grand Prix Championship – Paris Series, considered one of the most prominent Taekwondo tournaments worldwide with the participation of the top 32 ranked fighters in the world.
Al-Daoud won bronze in the -58kg weight category following three consecutive victories, adding a second Grand Prix medal to the bronze medal he won in Rome in June.
Al-Daoud opened his campaign with a 2-0 victory over Slovenia’s Domen Molj in the round of 32, before defeating Turkey’s Furkan Ubeyde Camoglu by the same score in the last 16. A third victory over Greece’s Aristideis Nikolaos Psarros followed in the quarter-final. But he lost to South Korea’s Park Tae-joon, the reigning Olympic champion, to settle for bronze.
