He had launched his campaign with a round-of-16 win over Palestine’s Mohammad Issa, before overcoming Tajikistan’s Shamsher Saidov in the quarter-final, and then defeating Japan’s Sewonrets Okazawa, gold medalist from the previous edition, in the semi-finals.
The medal marks the second won by Ishaish at the Asian Games, having previously taken bronze at the Jakarta 2018 edition.
It has been a successful event for the Ishaish family, with brother Hussein winning bronze in the -80kg weight category.
