AL-SALLAJ ARRIVES IN NAGOYA FOR ASIAD WEIGHTLIFTING

Weightlifter Assem Al-Sallaj says he is ready to do his best at the 20th Asian Games where he will compete in the Weightlifting in the Japanese city of Nagoya.

Al-Sallaj will compete in the 110kg weight class, marking his second appearance at the Asian Games following his debut in the Hangzhou edition in 2023.

He is scheduled to compete on September 27, with his weight class featuring 12 athletes.

National team coach, Omar Asia, confirmed that Al-Sallag is in good spirits and that preparations are going well, pointing out that the upcoming period will focus on reaching peak technical and physical readiness before the competition date.
