Aug 24, 2026
Jordan suffered a disappointing defeat to South Korea (24-25) in their third match at the 11th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, hosted at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City.
The national team started their campaign with a defeat to Bahrain followed by victory over India, but this third loss means the next match with Uzbekistan is even more important. That takes place in Wednesday at 6Ppm.
The championship features the participation of 10 national teams divided into two groups: Group A includes South Korea, Bahrain, Jordan, India, Uzbekistan, while Group B features Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Syria.
The top four teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals, played under a knockout system, while the four teams reaching the semi-finals guarantee qualification for the U19 World Championship, scheduled to take place in North Macedonia next year.
