SEVEN JORDAN MEDALS AT ARAB CHESS

Jordan’s Chess team captured seven medals, including two gold, at the Arab Age-Group Chess Championships, hosted by Egypt.
In the Classical Chess competitions, Anas Khwayreh was crowned with the gold medal and the title of Arab Champion in the U20 category after topping the general standings with 7.5 points out of 9 rounds, fulfilling the requirements to earn the International Master title.
International Master, Ruba Al-Qudah, earned the silver medal in the female U20 category after finishing with 7.5 points.
In the Blitz Chess competition, Jordan won five medals with Jeyda Hilal winning gold in the girls U14 category with 8 points out of a possible 9.
Ruba Al-Qudah captured the silver medal in the female U20 category with 8.5 points out of 9, after tying with the first-place winner before the title was decided via a playoff match.
Karam Ojeilat won silver in the boys U14 category after gathering 7 points out of 9.
The two bronze medals were claimed by Anas Khwayreh in the U20 category with 6 points and Talia Hilal in the girls U12 category with 7 points.
