U18 BASKETBALL TEAM LAUNCHES WEST ASIA QUALIFIERS

Jordan’s U18 basketball team launched their West Asia qualifiers for the U18 Asian Cup with an 80-62 defeat to Syria in the Arena Hall at Al-Hussein Youth City.
Amman is hosting the tournament from July 7th to 11th, with the participation of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Palestine.
It will be held in a single round-robin format, with the top three teams qualifying for the U18 Asian Cup finals, which will be held in India.
The opening day also saw a match between Palestine and Iran, while the Iraqi and Lebanese teams also faced each other, before the national team concluded the day's fixtures against Syria.
Jordan next play Lebanon tomorrow, hoping to bounce back from the opening defeat.
