BEGUEV WINS CONTINENTAL BRONZE IN SAMBO

Zaur Beguev has won the bronze medal at the Asian and Oceania Sambo Championship, currently being held in The Philippines capital, Manila.
He secured third place in the -79kg weight category after launching his campaign with a victory over South Korea’s Song Hyeonseo.
But he then lost to Kazakhstan’s Rakhmanov before bouncing back with a win over Singapore’s Jiang Yuxuan to secure the bronze medal.
The medal adds to Geguev’s impressive CV which already includes the silver medal at the 2025 Asian Championships in Tashkent, and a bronze medal at the World Youth Championships.
