Two of Jordan’s Esports teams have qualified for the Asian Games to be held in Japan, after competing in the games of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile, following the Asian qualifiers held across several countries.
In the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitions hosted by Singapore with the participation of 22 national teams, Jordan came through a tough group stage within the West Asia group, which included Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
They beat Oman, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates with a score of 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Saudi Arabia to finish second and secure qualification for the finals.
In the PUBG Mobile competitions held in Vietnam with the participation of 23 national teams, Jordan’s sixth place finish overall was enough to go through to the second stage with 11 other nations where they finished fifth to book their qualification spot.
Meanwhile, the national team did not succeed in qualifying in the games Honor of Kings and League of Legends, whose qualifiers were held in Malaysia.
