Oct 08, 2025
Jordan’s Saleh Zreikat has won a bronze medal in the 130 kg Freestyle Wrestling at the 2025 World Masters Wrestling Championship currently taking place in Hungary
Zreikat delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, opening his campaign with a dominant 10-2 victory over Gantulga Gursid of Mongolia, before falling to Abdulrashid Bagavdinov of Russia in the semi-finals.
But he bounced back strongly, defeating another Mongolian wrestler, Zayamandakh Otgonbayar, to secure the bronze medal in convincing fashion.
Zreikat continues his preparations alongside national coach, Yahya Abu Tabeekh, for the upcoming Greco-Roman wrestling events, which will begin on Friday.
The tournament has welcomed around 850 athletes representing 56 countries.
