Jordan’s Taekwondo team is returning home from the 19th Asian Games with two silver medals and one bronze, completing a successful tournament in Hangzhou, China. Saleh Al-Sharabati won silver in the -80kg competition, while Zaid Mustafa also won silver in the -68kg weight. Zaid Al-Halawani picked up a bronze medal in the -63kg competition to ensure that Jordan’s overall taekwondo medal haul at Asian Games competitions is 27 – three gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze. On the final day of the taekwondo competition, Anas Al-Sadiq (+80kg) beat Nepal’s Jackie Yadav, but eliminated at the next round by Iran’s Arian Soleimani. Rama Abu Al-Rub lost in the quarter-finals of the +67kg weight to China’s Ziqi Zhuo.
