Medal hope Ziad Ishaish has launched his Asian Games campaign with a first-round knock-out victory in Hangzhou, China. Ishaish won his opening -71kg bout against the UAE’s Hussain Al Kindari and will next meet Japan’s Sewon Okazawa in the round of 16 on Thursday. Teammate Hazifa Ishaish lost his first-round match against Kyrgyzstan's Nurzigit Duishobayev in the -51kg category. The boxing team’s participation continues tomorrow, as boxer Mohammad Abu Jajeh will face the Filipino, Karlou Pala, in the round of 32 for the -57kg weight. The gold and silver medallists in men's boxing at the Hangzhou Asian Games will qualify for the Paris Olympic Games next summer.
