ABU TAYEH WINS AT WEST ASIANS

Mashhour Abu Tayeh has won the French Billiard (3 balls) event at the 6th West Asian Championships for Billiard and Snooker, beating Naser Awwad of Jordan, in Amman in a tournament held under the patronage of Jordan Olympic Committee Secretary General, Lana Al Jaghbeer.
In the doubles final (9 balls), Qatar's Bashar Hussein and Ali Al Ebeidli won the title after they beat UAE's Salah Al Remawi and Mohammad Al Housni. Jordan shared third with Syria.
UAE's Mohammad Shehab won two titles with teammate Salah Al Remawi winning the individual billiard (9 balls). Saudi Arabia’s Abdel Rahman Al Ammar won the billiard title (8 balls).
UAE were the overall winners with four golds, one silver and two bronze, while Jordan finished tied second with Saudi Arabia with one gold, one silver and 3 bronze. Qatar were third.
