DEFEATS FOR JORDAN LADIES AT ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan have lost their opening matches at the Asian Women’s Basketball Championships qualifying tournament being held at Prince Hamzeh Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.
The ladies lost to Iran, 68-41, on the opening day and were then beaten by Kazakhstan in Group B, which also includes Lebanon.
The eight-team tournament also includes Group A consisting of Philippines, Syria, Samoa and Indonesia.
The two group winners advance to the semi-final, while the second and third placed teams will play off for the other two semi-final spots.
The tournament winner will qualify to the next edition of the Asian Women’s Basketball Championship.
