PROMOTING THE SPORT OF SQUASH TO A NEW AUDIENCE

The Jordan Squash Federation has launched a new campaign to attract more players to the sport.
The federation held an open day at Al Hussein Youth City, introducing the sport, the facilities and opportunities to a brand-new audience who came across it for the first time.
Newcomers were taught the sport by a number of national coaches, and Amr Muhaisen, President, said it was part of the federation’s strategy to promote the game and increase participation.
“We chose this day as it is the day to celebrate the independence of our Kingdom, so it meant people are on holiday and have the opportunity come and enjoy what this sport has to offer,” he said.
“We welcomed a number of new players so we hope they will continue to play and help us to increase our player base in Jordan.”
