HEALTH AND SAFETY CENTRAL TO SPORT RESTARTING

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and the Jordan Sports Medical Federation have discussed how sport can restart in the safest way possible following the two-month Covid-19 shutdown.
The e-meeting focussed on what could be done in the early stages for sport to restart with the health and safety of all those concerned a priority. JOC Secretary General, Nasser Majali, outlined the situation currently faced by many National Federations.
It was decided to form a committee between the two entities to draft health and safety instructions to protect the sector.
The committee will follow up on all of the latest updates regarding the pandemic in Jordan and draft the best possible way forward in cooperation with the Government.
Dr. Mazen Qaqeesh, President of Sports Medical Federation, gave an overview on the federation’s role in discussing the pandemic with doctors and experts in order to find out the best solutions that protect all involved.
