KEY E-MEETING ADDRESSES COVID-19 IMPACT ON SPORT

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has held a key e-meeting with fellow sports leaders to address the impact that Covid-19 has had on the sports’ industry.
The JOC has created a task force, led by JOC Secretary General, Nasser Majali, to manage the current situation and the meeting, with members of national sporting federations, discussed the current situation faced by sports clubs and centres due to the lockdown, as well as the negative impact it is having on sport as a whole.
The meeting also highlighted recommendations that will be sent to the Government in a bid to seek compensation for the damage inflicted on those clubs and centres that have been unable to operate.
Majali reassured that the task force would be doing all it can to support the sports sector and will work with all national sports federations to find possible solutions and ensure the sector can be supported for the good of all Jordanian society.
