CAN JORDANIAN OLYMPIC HOPEFULS MAKE HOME ADVANTAGE COUNT?

Jordan’s best Table Tennis players will be looking to make home advantage count when they compete in the West Asian qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympics, which get underway tomorrow.
Players from 11 countries are in Amman, and the draw was made on Sunday evening at Prince Hamzeh Hall in Al Hussein Youth City which will host the event until Wednesday.
The men are split into five groups with the top two going through to a knockout phase.
Men’s
Group A: Ali Al Khadrawe (Saudi Arabia), Mohammed Saleh (Bahrain) and Ibrahim al-Hassan (Kuwait).
Group B: Mohammed Abdul Wahab (Qatar), Daoud Shihab (Lebanon), Marzouk Al Rashidi (Kuwait), Sultan (Oman)
Group C: Abdulaziz Bushlibi (Saudi Arabia), Abdullah al-Balushi (UAE), Abdul Hakim Gibran (Yemen) and Obaida Zaza (Syria)
Group D: Zaid Abu Yamen (Jordan), Saleh al-Balushi (UAE), Rashid Sanad (Bahrain) and Ibrahim al-Maghribi (Palestine).
Group E: Ziad Al Damisi (Jordan), Mohammed Hami (Lebanon), Ahmed Al Muhannadi (Qatar) and Mohammed Thaer (Qatar).
Women's
Group A: Mariana (Lebanon), Mariam Al Qasimi (Bahrain) and Naba Samir (Iraq).
Group B: Baraa Al Wadi (Jordan), Maryam Al Ali (Bahrain), Saja Majid (Iraq) and Hind Zaza (Syria).
Group C: Swar Abu Yamen (Jordan), Malik Khoury (Lebanon), Zeina Asaad (Syria) and Shaimaa Abu Nema (Palestine).
