Jul 11, 2019
The Summer Open Swimming Championships were launched on Friday and will continue through to Monday, organised by the Jordanian Swimming Federation.
More than 100 swimmers will take part across all age groups at the Olympic Swimming Pool in Al Hussein Youth City, with six new age categories introduced.
Through this tournament, the Federation hopes to find fresh talent for its national team training programmes.
“The start of the tournament was fantastic, with a very high level that saw us write new names on the swimming records,” said Nidal Abu Al-Failat, the tournament director.
“We always strive to give swimmers the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities in a competitive environment at the highest level to enable them to develop their levels and gain new experience.”
