WOMEN TO CONTINUE ROAD TO RIO

The women’s football team heads to Myanmar this week for the second phase of Asian qualifiers to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
On Monday, they play the host country (2.30pm Jordan time), followed by Chinese Taipei on Wednesday and then finally Vietnam on Sunday (both at 12.30pm Jordan time).
The team that wins the group will advance to join Japan, Australia, North Korea, South Korea and China in the final qualifying round with the top two going through to next summer’s Olympics.
