SHABAN TAKES TRIATHLON GOLD

Junior triathlete Mariam Shaban has clinched a gold medal at the YAS Triathlon held in Abu Dhabi.

Coach, Abdulaziz Al Shu'aibi, said the youngster performed superbly well to take the U19 girls category.

Her teammate, Maxim Al Shboul, finished his boys race in a credible fifth.

The pair were sent to Abu Dhabi to help them prepare bids to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games.
