Aug 24, 2017
Young triathlete Kareem Othman will participate in the final round of the ITU World Championships that will be held in Rotterdam from September 14-17, it has been confirmed.
The 19 year old has been chosen by the International Triathlon Union (ITU) due to his strong performances in the last Asian Championships held in Indonesia where he finished 20th among 53 participants.
“We are so proud of him,” said coach Ammar Al Satari. “Kareem has worked his socks off to improve his performances this year and really deserves this opportunity.
This will be a wonderful experience for him.” Othman is ranked second in Jordan behind Rio Olympian Lawrence Fanous with both now training hard to try and qualify for the next Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
