Olympian and multiple national record holder Khader Baqleh will lead Jordan’s swimmers at the 18th Asian Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, later this month.
The teenager, who is studying in Florida, will compete in the 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle events as well as the 200m Medley.
He will be joined in south east Asia by two of the most exciting prospects in the Arab World, with Mohammad Al Bdour competing in the 50m and 100m Freestyle as well as the 50m Butterfly.
Breaststroke specialist Amro Al Wer will go in the 50m, 100m and 200m.
All three will be looking to make the finals of their events, with medals a possibility.
“We have prepared well for these Asian Games,” said coach, Dr. Ali Al Nawaiseh. “Our swimmers are determined to make Jordan proud and will be giving their all in the pool.”
