Jul 22, 2018
Team Jordan have included runner Tamara Armoush for the 18th Asian Games being held in Jakarta, Indonesia from August 18-September 3.
Armoush will compete in the 1500m and 5000m events and said that she is aiming for a strong finish to help promote running among the female population in Jordan.
“I am so excited to be representing my country,” said Tamara, who lives in the UK. “I’m looking to achieve a good result as it is important to show girls back home in Jordan what is possible through hard work. “I have really been training hard over the past weeks to be ready and now I can’t wait to get out there.”
Tamara fulfilled a dream of participating in the World Championships held in London last year and is now part of the JOC’s Olympic Preparations Programme (OPP) as she chases another dream of competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
