RAMADAN HELPS ME FOCUS ON MY TRAINING
May 30, 2017
Jordan basketball star Ali Jamal still has big ambitions in the sport.
The national team’s talisman spoke to www.joc.jo about how he is spending his time during the Holy Month of Ramadan and said that despite being 29 now, he still has eyes on a big contract to play abroad.
“I am training hard during Ramadan because we have some big matches coming up,” said the 2010 World Cup squad member. “I split my time between being at the mosque, on the pitch and with my family.
“But my training focus is on fitness and shooting. It’s good to keep my fitness up during the Holy Month.”
Jamal will be a key part of the Jordan time launching its Asian Cup campaign in Lebanon in August and he said that the tournament could be the ideal shop window to him realising his dreams.
“I have received many contracts to play overseas, but I hope to get one that could serve my experience and skills for the best.”
