BIG JORDAN SUCCESSES AT AUSTRIA ULTRA MARATHON

More Jordan runners followed the success of endurance ace Salameh Al Aqra by winning medals at the 19th Erste-Sparinvest Otscher Ultra Marathon in Austria.
While Al Aqra took gold in the 70km ultra marathon in a time of 5h56m19s for his eighth Austrian title, the Jordan Gendarmerie team clinched gold in the 50km relay race through Haiel Al Rawahneh and Hassan Khala.
In the 6km race, it was a Jordan1-2 with Omar Al Zboun winning and Yousef Al Soud in second, while Mohammad Al Fayez finished second in the half marathon.
The event is held in the Austrian mountains and considered one of the toughest events on the endurance running calendar.
