WEST ASIA TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS UNDERWAY THURSDAY

The finishing touches have been made to Jordan hosting the West Asia Table Tennis Championships which start Thursday in Aqaba and continue through to Sunday.
The host nation will be joined by the best players from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Palestine, Oman and Bahrain with competitions being held in seniors, U18 and U15 for men and women.
Jordan have been training intensively over the past month in readiness for the event which will be staged in the city’s Rosary College Hall with morning and afternoon sessions.
The 20 players making up Jordan include:
Men:
Zaid Yousef, Ziad Aziz, and Mohammad Bani Salameh
Women:
Sewar Abu Yaman, Taima Abu Yaman, Farah Khater and Bara' Al Wedyan.
Youth male:
Khalid Basem, Hassan Al Huorani, Omar Al Owfi and Yahia Al Azam
Youth female:
Lima Khater, Yara Al Damisi and Razan Aqrabawi Juniors male: Raed Al Damisi, Hamadah Qasoul and Ayesh Awad Juniors female: Tina Khouri, Masa Al Khawaldeh and Batoul Al Rashdan
