FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED FOR ATHLETES

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has announced that five university scholarships will be available for athletes following an agreement approved by its Board with Zain.

The JOC, the leading organisation for sport in Jordan, has hailed the agreement as an vital step in promoting the importance of education amongst its lead athletes.

“These scholarships, provided by Zain, send a clear message that education is fundamental for our young sportsmen and women,” said Lana Al Jaghbeer, JOC Secretary General. “Zain is a big supporter of sport and the JOC really appreciates this gesture which places a strong emphasis on the important link between learning and sport.”

The terms and conditions of the scholarships will be shared with the 32 Federations that come under the JOC umbrella.
