JORDAN TO LAUNCH WEST ASIAN BID AGAINST SYRIA

Jordan’s bid to win the West Asian Basketball Championships on home soil will begin with a match against Syria on Sunday night.
In an exhaustive schedule released today, every side will play each night of the tournament through to February 3 with Jordan joined by Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Iran in the six-team tournament.
Three matches will be played every afternoon at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm at the Shabab Al Fuhais Club, with a sytraight forward points system deciding the champion.
The top four will qualify for the 29th Asian Cup to be held in Lebanon from August 17-27.
