JORDAN THIRD IN WORLD POLICE CHAMPIONSHIP

Jordan’s gendarme futsal team (five-a-side) has picked up bronze in the World Police Championships in Holland.
The team beat Belarus 5-4 on penalties to clinch third spot and an invitation to the Champions Cup for the top four teams being played in Russia next February. Russia, Belarus and Croatia will also be taking part.
The Jordan team consisted of Ibrahim Qandil, Noor Al Din Al Khaza'leh, Baha' Al Din Al Kisswani, Majdi Qandil, Amjad Al Qroum, Oday Haikal, Ahmad Mohammad Hani and Yousef Ayasrah. The coach was Lieutenant Waleed Mekhae'el and Captain Sami Al Zubi was Chef de Mission.
Teams from 70 countries took part in the championship.
