ASIA’S BEST JUDOKA SET FOR AMMAN

Amman is hosting the Asian Open Judo Championships 2026 over the next few days, with Jordan Olympic Committee Secretary General, Rana Al-Saeed, helping to officially launch the event at Sports Palace in Al-Hussein Youth City.
Featuring the participation of 354 athletes representing 28 countries across men’s, women’s and junior categories, the championship will continue tomorrow, Thursday, before Amman then hosts the Asian Junior and Cadet Judo Cup from October 31-November 3.
The opening day’s winners were decided on Day One with Al-Saeed and President of the Jordan Judo Federation, Sultan Al-Awamleh, crowning the medallists in the -52kg and -73kg weight categories.
