The JOC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) to enhance cooperation between the two parties in developing sport and implementing joint programmes, in line with their shared national and developmental objectives and their commitment to expanding institutional collaboration.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the JOC by Secretary General, Rana Nadhmi Al-Saeed, and on behalf of the VTC by Acting Director, General Raafat Mousa Al-Sawafien, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and activating the provisions of the agreement in support of their common development goals.
The agreement includes the design and implementation of accredited vocational training programmes through the VTC, tailored to meet the needs of targeted groups.
These programmes will be provided free of charge to beneficiaries, reflecting the developmental and social dimension of the partnership and contributing to their economic and professional empowerment.
Areas of cooperation also include the exchange of expertise and technical information in fields of mutual interest, coordination in organising sports events and activities, and preparation for sports competitions that could be hosted at VTC facilities.
In addition, the two sides will organise and participate in workshops aimed at enhancing the capacities of staff members in topics of shared interest.
Both parties also agreed to coordinate efforts in promoting and publicising the programmes and activities implemented under the MoU through their respective media channels.
The agreement also allows each party to use the name and logo of the other in materials related to the partnership - including promotional materials, media content, and social media platforms - reflecting the spirit of cooperation and institutional integration.
