Mar 03, 2026
The JOC hosted a Ramadan Iftar gathering last Thursday for the national sports media community, attended by members of the Jordanian Sports Media Federation, as well as representatives from local newspapers, online media platforms, and television channels.
It was hosted to show the appreciation of the pivotal role played by sports media in supporting the Jordanian sports movement, and as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and partnership with various media outlets, fostering stronger communication and the exchange of expertise in service of national sport.
Following the Iftar, an open dialogue session was held, during which JOC Secretary General Rana Al-Saeed and Director of the Sports Federations Affairs Department Mai Al-Nsour responded to questions from journalists regarding the Committee’s upcoming plans, its mechanisms for working with sports federations, and the support and development programmes adopted by the JOC.
During the session, Al-Saeed emphasised that the Committee’s doors were always open to the sports media, reflecting an approach based on transparency and ongoing dialogue.
She also noted that such meetings will be held regularly to further strengthen partnership and exchange perspectives in support of the aspirations of Jordanian sport.
This gathering reflects the Committee’s commitment to maintaining direct engagement with the media community, recognising it as a key partner in the process of development and in promoting the presence of Jordanian sport at both the regional and international levels.
