Feb 13, 2026
Minister of Youth and Vice President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, crowned the winners of the Baja Sports Festival in Aqaba.
Whilst the Jordan Baja was being hosted out of the Red Sea city, the JOC organised competitions in Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing and Esports, with the participation of over 200 athletes.
The events were held at Arab Revolt Square and Ayla Oasis, in a vibrant sporting atmosphere that reflected the growing interest in community sport across the Kingdom.
Rana Al-Saeed, Secretary General of the JOC, said that the second edition of the festival witnessed strong engagement from sports enthusiasts and showcased high technical standards during competitions, with wide participation from athletes representing the southern governorates.
She emphasised the committee’s commitment to continuing such initiatives, which help promote national sports and provide young talent with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.
Aqaba was selected as the host city due to its distinguished tourism status and advanced infrastructure, in addition to the festival’s alignment with Jordan Baja 2026.
