JORDAN CONCLUDE WEST ASIA PARA GAMES WITH 14 MEDALS

Jordan finished the 5th West Asia Para Games, hosted in Muscat, Oman, with an impressive haul of 14 medals - eight gold, five silver, and one bronze.
Jordanian athletes dominated the podiums with powerlifters in particular recording strong results with Omar Qaradah winning gold in the 49kg category; Tharwat Al-Hajjaj secured gold in the +86kg category; Asmaa Issa claimed silver in the 79kg category; Mahmoud Al-Malkawi earned silver in the 97kg category, and Yaman Al-Mawahreh added silver in the 52kg category.
In para athletics, Ahmad Hindi delivered an outstanding performance, winning three gold medals in the shot put, discus, and javelin, confirming his status as one of the Games’ standout athletes.
Mohammad Al-Mahdi captured two gold medals in the 800m and 1500m. Nasser Al-Muqabla won gold in the 200m, and Khaled Abu Nahleh secured silver in the 400m.
Jordan also made a strong debut in boccia at the Arab level, with Haneen Al-Majdoubah winning silver and Laith Zaid earning bronze.
In addition, the Games marked Jordan’s first-ever participation in para badminton, highlighted by Musab Al-Tawalbeh, who won silver in doubles and bronze in singles.
