JOC PHOTOGRAPHER WINS INTERNATIONAL AWARD

Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) Photographer Ahmad Damrah has won first place in the “Sports Action Photography” category at the international “Xposure 2026” festival, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
The festival features participation from more than 420 photographers, filmmakers, and visual artists representing over 60 countries worldwide.
The photography category alone received nearly 29,000 submissions, highlighting the festival’s prestigious international standing and the strong level of competition.
Damrah’s winning photograph was captured during the Gymnastics competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he was part of the JOC’s media team covering the country’s participation.
The award-winning image captured a distinctive sporting moment, showcasing exceptional precision, artistic sensibility, and the ability to freeze motion at its peak - earning the admiration of the judging panel and surpassing entries from around the world.
This achievement adds to the growing list of successes by the JOC’s staff and underscores the high calibre of Jordanian talent in sports photography and its strong presence on the international stage.
