Jordan’s female football team have won the 9th West Asia Championship, beating Palestine 3-1 in the final at King Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Jordan’s goals were scored by Celine Akroush, Aya Al-Majali and Farah Abu Tayeh.
The victory marks Jordan’s fifth consecutive title in the tournament and its sixth overall, extending its record as the most successful team in the competition’s history.
Jordan reached the final after topping their group with six points, following wins over Palestine (3-0) and Lebanon (5-0), before recording a 3-0 victory over Iraq in the semi-finals.
