FENCERS SHOW ISLAMIC GAMES PROMISE BUT FINISH EMPTY HANDED

Jordan’s fencers have completed their Islamic Solidarity Games campaigns in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The women’s team — consisting of Dina Al-Mansi, Shahd Al-Kaloub, and Zein Al-Hatamleh — competed in the women’s épée team event.
They opened the Round of 16 with a 45-20 victory over Bahrain, before falling in the next match to Uzbekistan 32-45, marking the end of the team’s campaign in the Games, which conclude tomorrow (Friday).
