KICKBOXERS HEAD TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s top kickboxers have arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to participate in the WAKO World Championships, scheduled to take place from November 21-30.
The team arrived in high spirits looking to make a charge for the medals with Mohammad Al-Jarairi, President of the Jordan Kickboxing Federation, leading the delegation which includes team manager Ibrahim Al-Zuraiqi, team doctor Dr. Mohammad Al-Huneiti, and international referee Zaid Hammad.
The squad includes: Moayyad Himour (-54kg, Full Contact), Mohammad Fityan (-57kg, Full Contact), Ibrahim Jum’ah (-60kg, Full Contact), Abdullah Al-Akhras (-63.5kg, Full Contact), Mohammad Wasfi (-67kg, Full Contact), Saleh Sobh (-71kg, Full Contact), Qais Al-Broomawi (-75kg, Full Contact), Saif Al-Din Al-Ladawi (-63kg, Light Contact) and Masoud Abdel-Hakim (-71kg, K1 Style).
The team is coached by Talal Al-Anaqrah and Abdullah Al-Beisha, with Al-Anaqrah confirming that the team enters the championship in excellent form after an intensive six-month preparation programme that included physical and technical training sessions as well as domestic and international camps.
He said: “We worked diligently over the past months to be ready from all aspects. The best players were selected to represent Jordan in this world-class event, and we are confident in their ability to deliver strong performances and achieve results worthy of Jordan’s sporting reputation.”
