ISHAISH INTO ISLAMIC GAMES BOXING SEMIS

Hussein Ishaish has secured a medal for Jordan at the Islamic Solidarity Games by reaching the Boxing semi-finals at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, hosted in Riyadh.

Ishaish defeated Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Al-Subhi after the referee stopped the contest in the second round of their 80kg contest.

Next, he will face Azerbaijan’s Saeed Jamshid Jafarov on Sunday.

Meanwhile, his brother, Ziad Ishaish, will compete tomorrow in the 70kg semi-finals.

Boxing has returned to the Islamic Solidarity Games for the first time since Baku 2017, where Team Jordan earned three bronze medals through Mohammad Al-Wadi, Obada Al-Kasbeh, and Hussein Ishaish.
