MAREF EXITS ESPORTS IN LAST EIGHT

Jordan’s eSports player Mohammad Maref has just missed out on the medals at the Asian Youth Games, held in Manama, Bahrain.

Maref had advanced to the quarter-finals on Tuesday in the Street Fighter 6 (1v1) event after securing two victories on Monday - defeating Bilal Al-Marri (UAE) and Aqwam Mohammad (Sri Lanka) - but losing two matches against Talal Raji Khan (Saudi Arabia) and Lin Chun Hsi (Chinese Taipei), to finish third in Group B.

But today, Maref was beaten by Chen Yu-Gang of Chinese Taipei with a score of 0–3, concluding his run in the tournament.
