TAEKWONDO SECURE TWO MORE BRONZE MEDALS AT YOUTH GAMES

Jordan’s taekwondo team added two more bronze medals on Sunday, as Ahmad Al-Rababah and Zainab Bsaila both reached the podium on the final day of Taekwondo competitions at the Asian Youth Games, held in Manama, Bahrain.
Al-Rababah’s bronze medal came in the -55kg category, while Bsaila secured bronze in the -63kg division.
With these results, the Jordanian taekwondo team concluded its participation in the Games with a total of six medals - one silver and five bronze.
Al-Rababah’s journey to the podium began with a walkover win in the Round of 32 against Indonesia’s Kaisan Rai, followed by victories over Thailand’s Valak Pongsakon (2-0) in the Round of 16, and Mongolia’s Enkhtaivan Anand (2-1) in the quarter-finals. He later fell to Kazakhstan’s Yevgeny Vassinkin in the semi-finals, settling for the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Bsaila defeated India’s Forailatpam Garluxmi (2-1) in the quarter-finals before losing in the semi-finals to Iran’s Ghbalo Pinar (0-2), claiming another bronze for Jordan.
Jordan also participated in the mixed team event, but were eliminated in the quarter-finals by China.
