Moataz Al-Masha’leh and Abdullah Toghouth Advance to Quarterfinals at the Asian Youth Games

Jordan’s Moataz Al-Masha’leh and Abdullah Toghouth advanced to the quarterfinals of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, currently taking place in Manama, Bahrain.

Al-Masha’leh secured a knockout victory over Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Suleiman in the Round of 16 of the -54kg category. He will next face Lebanon’s Ramzi Hilal in the quarterfinals on Monday.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Toghouth defeated Japan’s Honjo Kunimitsu in the -66kg division, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Uzbekistan’s Saidkhoja on Monday.

In contrast, Wisam Al-Wuhaidi exited the tournament after losing to Uzbekistan’s Shukirjonov Ibrokhim in the Round of 16 of the under-60 kg category.
