JORDAN PAIR ADVANCE TO MUAY THAI QUARTERS

Jordan’s Ward Nairokh and Rayan Ahmad advanced on Thursday to the quarter-finals of the Muay Thai competition at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, held in Manama, Bahrain.
Nairokh earned a well-deserved victory over Tajikistan’s Muhammad Safarov in the -57kg division, winning by a score of 29–28. He will face Iran’s Amir Mohammad Majidinia in the quarter-finals on Friday at 7.52pm.
Teammate, Ahmad, claimed a knockout victory over Thailand’s Phutsaranwit Siangviro in the Round of 16 (-60kg) and will meet Cambodia’s Mangasrorn in the quarter-finals on Friday at 8.32pm.
In other results, Rayan Azmeqna was beaten by Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Karbuzov in the Round of 16 (-51kg). Additionally, Saleh Al-Aidi will face Iraq’s Ibrahim Khalil in the Round of 16 (-54kg) on Friday.
