HANDBALL TEAM CHALKS UP FIRST WIN OF GAMES

Jordan’s young handball side has earned its first win at the Asian Youth Games, held in Manama, Bahrain, with a decisive victory over the Maldives on Thursday.
Jordan dominated the match, winning 42–20, after leading 24–14 in the first half and 18–6 in the second.
The team had previously lost its opening match to Saudi Arabia (11–33) in Group A.
Jordan will face Bahrain next on Saturday at 7pm, before concluding the group stage against Hong Kong on Sunday.
The handball competition features 11 teams, divided into two groups - five teams in Group A and six in Group B. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
